Participation to an internation conference in Japan (Saporo)
From September, the 16th, SEFTIM participates to an international meeting on lightning protection. The subjects were:
- Lightning risk’s analysis
- Direct lightning protection
- Storm detection

Convention in New Caledonia
From September, the 9th, SEFTIM organised 2 conferences in New Caledonia in partnership with the University of New Caledonia (UNC) and EMR, the SEFTIM’s local partner.
A first conference had been organised during the day. 50 personnes participated to it. The topics were :
- Lighting, physical phenomen
- Lightning risk analysis
- Direct lightning protection
- Lightning arrester
- Maintenance, initial and periodic check
In the evening, a second conference had been organised for general public on :
- Lightning, mythology and physic
- person’s protection

2nd working meeting with the chinese delegation
Following a first meeting in June, SEFTIM met again the chinese delegation in Paris in order to broach a partnership with China in the field of new technologies for lightning protection (earthed socket, lightning rod, lightning arrester).

July 8th, Monday, SEFTIM took part to an international meeting in Pau in order to better define the expected datas from the storm detection networks.

SEFTIM manage training to structure and building’s lightning protection in England during which the new standard has been introduced

June, the 24th, 2013 – Working meeting with a Chinese delegation
SEFTIM took part to a working meeting with a Chinese delegation in Paris in order to promote a partnership with China in the field of new lightning protection’s technologies (earthed socket, lightning protection, lightning rod).
This meeting fit as a preliminary meeting to a second meeting in Paris on August, 29th, 2013
