From September, the 9th, SEFTIM organised 2 conferences in New Caledonia in partnership with the University of New Caledonia (UNC) and EMR, the SEFTIM’s local partner.
A first conference had been organised during the day. 50 personnes participated to it. The topics were :
- Lighting, physical phenomen
- Lightning risk analysis
- Direct lightning protection
- Lightning arrester
- Maintenance, initial and periodic check
In the evening, a second conference had been organised for general public on :
- Lightning, mythology and physic
- person’s protection
