SEFTIM realized a lightning study for the INRA, near Nancy (France) to protect an equipments placed on a 20meters pole in forest (several anemometer connected to acquisition exchange, solar panels, weather implements, … ) going over the canopy by at least 5 meters. After risks estimation, the solution was mainly constituted by lightning arrester, armor-plating, using a simple shaft ligtning rod to protect the higher equipment.
